I am looking for an economical way to get from London to York at the end of May. We have looked at coaches and can only see to find one company that does this route.
Any ideas/suggestions would be great. Thanks!

I found a one-way train fare from London King's Cross to York from £10 on May 22. There are several dates/times available, but it's best to book as soon as possible. These fares are for a specific date/time and cannot be changed without penalty, so be sure you know what your schedule is before booking.
I'd go with the train if possible. It's only 2 hrs vs. 4.5 on the coach.
That's great! Thanks for the help.
Do you know how close King's Cross Station is to central London? We only will have a Zone 1 & 2 tube pass.
A zone 1/2 covers Kings Cross which can be reached on a few of the tube lines. Bit of a hike from KC to what I consider central Ldn (Buck Palace,Big Ben,etc).
We are staying very close to the Swiss Cottage tube station. Looks like on the tube map we shouldn't have a problem getting there. Thanks for everyone's help!
