Southwest trains run directly from London Waterloo to Southampton Central. If you book a SW train well in advance on megatrain.com rather than on the SW site, you can get a discount fare as low as £1.00. Depart at 11:39 and arrive at 13:15. Or depart at 13:39 and arrive at 15:12.

Be sure to go to http://www.cruisecritic.com. In addition to getting answers to your question, you can sign up for the "roll call" of others on your sailing, and probably find someone to split a car service ride from London.

Many eons ago I arrived by ship in Southampton from the Colonies and there was a train at the docks waiting for our "mail ship'- doesnt look like they do that any more. Spomeone in England may know.

There are direct trains to the docks now from northern England and Scotland but not from London - the journey's too short for it to attract enough passengers.
