London to Paris tickets

We hope to take the chunnel train from London to Paris in early March of next year. Is there any reason to book our tickets in advance? Or will we be ok buying tickets that morning at the station? If we need to get them in advance, which site should we use (I see several when I google it)? Thanks in advance for any tips you can give us!

Buy your tickets in advance, they go on sale if I remember correctly either 60 or 90 days in advance. Use the Eurostar website for the best, in my opinion information, and just a quiet word please don't refer to it as the Chunnel train, it's Eurostar.

You can book 120 days out and the earlier you book the less expensive the fare. Use euurostar.com. Do NOT use Rail Europe unless you are dead keen on being over charged.

The EUROSTAR should be booked as far out as possible. Look at this website for information. http://www.eurostar.com/static/micro_site/eurostar_faq_en.htm. 120 days out is a good place to start looking at fares. That said, you should be booking tickets now. To book tickets, the website I sent you to above has a booking online tab you can use. Be sure to tell the site you are booking from the UK, NOT USA. If you say USA, it will take you to Rail Europe, which charges double for the priviledge of booking the ticket for you. If you can afford it, 1st class is wonderful!!

Selecting USA on the Chunnel train site doesn't redirect you to Rail Europe. It just quotes prices in US Dollars instead of Pounds.

I've already purchased my tickets for April 28,2013 and paid a total of $249 for 4 tickets. And when I went to reserve my seats, it was wide open so I was able to book 4 seats that face each other with a small table in between in the center of the car. They were the nonrefundable tickets but I went ahead and booked since I have my flights booked. As what others have suggested, the farther out you reserve, the cheaper it is. I used Eurostar.com. What's also interesting is that with your Eurostar ticket, you can get half price tickets for certain sites at your destination, including the Orsay. It may be buy one get one ticket but all the same, it's a deal!
