I'm going to be in London during the start of American football season, and I was wondering if anyone knows of any bars or places where you can watch American sports?

Steve, I'm sorry this is so late - but I wanted to tell you that my hubby and I are going to London next week and as he is a huge college football fan, we have already done a bit of research on this subject. There is a BBQ joint called Bodeans (we're going to the one on Tower Hill on 9/4). I believe that sometimes you can look on their website and they have games listed that are showing there. The link is http://www.bodeansbbq.com Right now all they are showing is Major League Baseball, but perhaps they'll start football soon. Happy Londoning!

I was going to say Bodeans, too. Each branch is a little different and they seem to have done over the Tower Hill branch recently (we were there last weekend)into much more of a restauranty feel. I think we prefer the Poland Street (near Oxford Street in Soho) feel, with the stools and sports bar feel upstairs and restaurant downstairs. We haven't been there for a while and hope they haven't changed it much. The Tower Hill branch only has 1 or 2 screens; Poland Street has screens in all directions, often showing different things. Both locations keep the sound down during the day, don't know if they turn it up at night but I bet they do for the games they advertise. .... They have a location in Clapham, south of the river, one in Fulham near Chelsea, and another in Westbourne Grove near Notting Hill. I haven't been to any of those branches.
