London's Most Romantic Spot?

Taking my wife to London in a few months. Can someone please tell me what they think are some of the most romantic spots in London? Cheers

Try one of the central parks (Hyde, Green, or St. James, Regents or Kensington Gardens) on a sunny afternoon. Particularly St. James, or Hyde near the Serpentine... unless of course, you meant "Romantic" (versus "romantic"), then I'd say go to the Lake District... sorry, I can't help myself with that stupid little joke...

Walking along the Thames at night.

Hampstead Heath looking down on London.

Rowing in the Serpentine in Hyde Park

Handing her your credit card as you enter Harrod's and say: "Have fun."

Here's a couple of articles on that subject:

A walk along Hungerford Bridge at night overlooking the London Eye and Westminster. My favorite.

Somerset House courtyard with the fountains - most romantic at night, but if you'll be there in just a few months (before April) there won't be fountains.

If you're looking to drop some serious cash, you can do a "champagne flight" or rent a private capsule on the London Eye.

If you really want to get away and it's a nice day, take her to Richmond Park. It's like being in the countryside, but still in the city. Lots of flowers will be blooming by March.

A boatride down the Thames to Hampton Court Palace.

LOL Tom! It isn't too often that you hear a good Romantic joke! My English nerdiness appreciated it!

It's even easier if they ask for a "Romantic" spot in Germany. Then I recommend Weimar, home of Goethe and Schiller!

Hello Buck. When I was at London I did not think of it as having a romantic environment. A pleasant place in London, easy to go to, is the rose garden in Hyde park. The rose garden is near Apsley house, which is across the street from Hyde Park Corner London "Tube" station.

I would recommend Regents Park. The English are great gardeners, and Regents is particularly pretty. It's smaller and more intimate than some of the other parks in London.
