Hi,
We will be London for only 2 days in May and our 2nd day is a Bank Holiday. I had planned the following but I'm wondering if they will be open: British Museum, Westminster Abbey, London Eye, Tower of London, theatres to see a play. Please suggest alternatives that are open if you know of any. Thanks!
According to a recent RS podcast, most tourist attractions are open on bank holidays. Banks, however, will be closed.
A lot should be open. If you are using the tube system be careful as they may close some of the lines. Usually maintence. The system is really good about any updates about the system. They even have board in each of the stations about how the system is running.
FYI, Monday is often a day off for the theatre world. Some of the bigger musicals have Monday performance, but almost all dance/music shows and plays will not be performed on Mondays.

Most of those things should be open but bear in mind that their might be longer queues for most attractions. You might consider booking your London Eye tickets in advance to save some time. You can pick them up from the booking office when you arrive.
