The Olympics are in London this summer (27 July-12 Aug 2012). I know travel in Great Britain will be affected around these dates. But what about other places in Europe? like Paris? or other countries? I am planning our itinerary and taking this into consideration? Any comments? Thank You.

The games will have a negative impact on airfare to Europe; not just the UK. The Olympics attracts fans from all over the world, in addition to athletes, coaches, officials, and the media. Not all of these folks will be flying non-stop to Heathrow. Some will be connecting through CDG, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, JFK, Miami, Houston etc etc demand for seats will be high, availability of empty seats low adds up to high prices:( Same thing happened during the World Cup when Germany hosted back in 2006.
