My husband and I will be spending five days in London in October. We are looking for a small, relatively inexpensive hotel or b&b near the city center. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

We must have stayed at The Cherry Court Hotel at least 8 times through the years. Mrs. Patel who runs the place is lovely. It is clean and safe. It has small rooms and very small bathrooms, but it all works well and is centrally located near Victoria Station. http://www.cherrycourthotel.co.uk/ And it is inexpensive.

If that doesn't work try smoothound .com we have used them several times with great luck. Enjoy.

sharon, I used This Hotel on my last visit to London. It's not overly posh, but the room was very comfortable, the Hotel is in a nice location near London Victoria station and the owners are wonderful. Happy travels!
