Does anyone have any advice or info on short term apartment rentals in London? I will be in London for a little over a week in early October. About what would I expect to pay?

Be sure to check on VRBO web site (vacation rental by owner) for lots of places and lots of prices.

Why not peruse the airbnb web site where you can search by price as well as location. Remember stay in travel zones 1 & 2 or transport into the city center will eat up your cost savings.

I used a website called A Place Like Home this past March (http://www.aplacelikehome.co.uk) and had a very good experience. We stayed in Kensington in a studio apartment for a week - iirc it was just under £100 a night.

You can also try homeaway.com. They are powered by tripadvisor.com. Can sort by options: no of bedrooms, no of people, amount of rental and neighborhood.
