London Eye

I haven't been to London in July for some time. I'm usually there 'off season'. I'd like to book the London Eye the day of...once I see the weather....but does it require advanced bookings in July? I would hate for it to be sold out, like several of the plays I'm looking into : - ). I'm booking the plays ahead, but not sure I need to book the Eye ahead .

Thanks!!

I was there in June and we took the ride about 8:15 pm - no reservations, no line. The weather was glorious and my favorite photo from the Eye is now on my credit card. Enjoy!

Hi Laurel,

We were there in March and because our time was limited we went ahead and booked the fast track tickets just to be cautious. Another friend was there last week and they did not book in advance and only wanted in line about 20 minutes.

However, July might be much busier and if your time is very limited or you want to ride at a specific time (i.e. sunset) then I would book in advance. You do get a 10% discount if you book online in advance.

Have a great trip!

We were there in July last year. We did not have a reservation, and there was no trouble getting a ticket. We only had to wait about 10 minutes to get a ticket. I didn't want a reservation because of the weather. By the way, for the plays check out theatre monkey for advice on seating. Just google theatre monkey, and you will find it. There advice was corrrect. We had great seats.
