We just discovered that our 3 days in London coincide with Wimbledon finals. Does that mean that the usual tourist attractions will be jam packed, or will all of the people really be watching tennis?
I doubt you would notice any affect on you - unless you were travelling on underground / train / buses that go to/from Wimbledon at the wrong time. Or wanted to visit the tennis museum as that is for ticket holders only during The Championships.
London is big enough and has enough special events to absorb all the Wimbledon crowd and then some without blinking. Don't worry about it. Just stay away from SW19.
I was there last year for business during Wimbledon and there was no difference. so, listen to Nigel. ; ) Pam
It could be quieter as people (not me) watch the finals on TV at home. But as said above, apart from TV and newspapers, you would not know there was anything going on.
