London Day Trips to Stonehenge, Glastonbury, Liverpool

Has anyone ever visited these three places as day-trips from London? (One per day, obviously) They all seem pretty well served by trains and buses, and then I wouldn't be changing hostels every few day. I only want to see the Beatles Museum in Liverpool, so I thought I could do that in a couple of hours and catch a late train back to London. Any thoughts?

I suppose it's feasible to see the places you listed as daytrips from London, however IMO this seems a bit inefficient.

Regarding Stonehenge and Glastonbury, my preference would be to stay in Bath for a few days as it's closer. You might consider the half or full day tours of Stonehenge and the Cotswolds with Mad Max Tours; they provide an awesome tour and all transportation is covered. I'm not sure about Glastonbury? Using National Express Coach from Bath would probably be least expensive (I had a car when I was there this fall, which makes it a bit more convenient).

For touring Liverpool, I would probably base in York or Manchester for a few days and take a day trip from there (and see other sites in that area).
