We are scheduled to fly from Stansted Airport at 7;20 a.m. on a Saturday. We are staying at the Marriot in the Canary Wharf area in East London. How is the best way to get there on time? or do we need to stay at the airport?

Please "google" Stansted airport. Under the BAA Stansted site they give directions to and from the airport. There is also a Holiday Inn Express 1 mile from the airport. I would stay there as Canary Wharf is a very long way from Stansted.

I'd do as Sarah suggested and stay closer to Stanstead. Good luck!

Ed, we had a similar departure time from Stansted when we flew from London to Shannon last year. At that time of the morning, we had the front desk reserve a taxi for us at 5 am, which we took to the Liverpool Station where you can get the Stansted Express out to the airport. The streets and train station were virtually empty at that hour so the taxi ride was quick and we were at Stansted in plenty of time. It's an early day to say the least!
