London by Night Sightseeing bus

Does anyone have experience with the London by Night Sightseeing bus that RS recommends (leaves from Victoria Station)? Am thinking of taking it our first night in London. Do I need to prepurchase tickets to make sure we get a space or will there be plenty of room (we are going mid-June). Thanks!!

I haven't experienced the Night Sightseeing, but I think it would be good. I think London is beautiful at night with all the lights.
Look at this website.....http://www.londonbynight.com/tickets.html ~ there are several pickup areas, also if you buy tickets online they are a little cheaper.

We did the London by Night bus tour last summer, it was not that great. I would not do it again, instead I would do the Double Decker bus tour during the day, it is awsome. I think you can walk around different areas of London at night and it is much better. Standing by County Hall, you have a great view of Big BEn, Westminster Abby, Parliament Building! WAlk over to Trafalger Square and see the waterfall, St-Martin-in-the-Fields, and the National Museum. Also the area by Bank tube is great, you can see St Pauls Cathedral the Thames, Bourough Market area, Southwark Cathedral, some pretty pubs. The area by Harrods is fun to see at night also, Victoria and Albert Museum, Prince Albert Memorial, Kensington Palace, it is all walking distance to each other. The other thing you can do is hire a taxi to take you past all these sights!
