London breakfast

This is my tenth trip to London, and I have splurged on a nice hotel, but they charge $50/pp for breakfast. Anybody know places that would be open early (8am) for a hearty English breakfast? thanks

You'll need to tell us where in London you want to have breakfast.

Probably at the east end of Hyde Park or around Cavendish Square Gardens judging by the price of morning grub.

There are Pret a manger shops all over the place. The food is good and reasonably priced. They don't have "full English" breakfasts, but you can get slices of quiche, filled croisants, etc. Ample ballast for walking around until it's time for a pub lunch.

Bingo! All-Bar-One. Corner of Henrietta and either Bedford or Carrick, the street changes names right there somewhere. Bust your gut for ten bucks.

Near Embankment, and on Whitehall across from the Charles I statue is Little Frankie's. Says it is a New York Italian style restaurant, but the serve English breakfast for just £5. Any breakfast. I haven't eaten there yet, but I plan on it in May. Here's the breakfast menu http://www.frankieandbennys.com/menu/breakfast. If it doesn't look like your kind of place once you get there, there's a Pret next door.
