london apartment

We have been quoted a rate of 50gbp per night in a great spot in London, and asked to send the money and 200 deposit for it. Has anyone used cheapapartmentlondon.com?

That price per night for those pictures seems so unbelievably unlikely considering what that money gets you in those areas. Add to that a very cheap tripod site with lots of pop ups and third party ads, along with a lot of spelling errors, and I somehow distrust the site.

If the pictures showed tiny studio flats with squeeze in bathrooms and tiny kitchenettes, I'd be more likely to believe the price.

The contact info says the company is HOLIDAY LETTINGS LIMITED which is a genuine company which matches the address they give, BUT NOT THE PHONE NUMBERS, and since they have a very genuine site which I'll include I somehow don't think they also have a cheap tripod site. If I were you I'd send them the site you have since someone is obviously using their address and name for fraud.

If you look at stuff on the genuine site, it costs MORE from them for a studio that has a shared kitchen and looks generally dated.

good morning,

If you are still looking for accommodations in London...try the London School of Economics...they have apartments etc available during Christmas hols and the summertime. And something new called "Top floor" which are available all year around. My friend usually stays at the Grosvenor House Studios because she is a theater nut. I'd give them a call...

Just checked the website cheapapartmentlondon.com and - it has been removed because it was used as a phishing scam.

Umm hello, I've posted quite often before, we had great luck with In The English Manner.

When you book you will be asked for a deposit on the apartment. We had to pay a fully refundable $200 deposit (which was refunded a couple weeks after we got back home).

I have booked for five nights in the first week of June 2009 an apartment with London Connection. After the trip, I will let others know about the experience. But you can google the company to get its website. I can tell you that their apartments have a minimum five night stay instead of seven and that they have reduced their pricing by about 20 percent in the past month.
