London Airport Shuttle?

Hi, I'm returning to London for a visit and am staying with a friend in the Ilford neighborhood nearby to the Goodmayes train station. I have a really early morning flight and was thinking it would be easier to take an airport shuttle instead of taking the tube. On a previous visit with my mom our hotel called an airport shuttle that was cheaper than just getting a regular taxi. Since I'm staying with a friend not at a hotel, I have no idea of where to look for airport shuttles or who would be best. Any ideas? Thanks,
Kira

Hi Kira. I've used ray@london-transfers.com 2 or 3 times. Ray Skinner's company does airport transfers all the time, and you can arrange the trip in advance via email. Reliable and cheaper than a cab. We are using it this spring and the cost from Heathrow to Kings Cross Station, 2 people, 54 pounds each way. The last time I took a taxi from Heathrow into London it was almost 100 pounds! Good luck, David

Rather than mess around with specialist shuttles, I would ask your friend to recommend a reliable local minicab firm and book with them. Most suburban minicab firms will have a standard price for trips to Heathrow (I assume, or any other London airport).
