London

My daughter, 2 grandchildren 7 & 10, & I (grandmother) are going to London for 5 nights, 4 days, June 6th through the 11th. Can anyone recommend a place to stay that's centrally located, has a kitchenette, a different bed arrangement than 2 doubles, which doesn't work for us, & within a decent price range? Should we go further out in order to save some money & find better bed arrangements? We also must have internet connection, due to our jobs. Thanks, I've not had much success with this. One of the possibilities I have found is Arran House. Anyone know anything about it?

I've stayed at the Arran House Hotel. It was a good deal for us as we had a family room which had one double and 2 singles (could have had 3 singles). the only downside was the bathroom was quite small. I think the room we were in was originally a small living room and the bathroom was installed for the b&b. I don't think they have any rooms with kitchenettes, but I think the website says you have access to the kitchen for personal use. the breakfast was quite good. Overall I felt it was a very good value.

This place has kitchenettes. I remember they were creating a new family space.
http://www.vancouverstudios.co.uk/ You're in the Bayswater district with a shopping center just around the corner and many wonderful restaurants, cafes and pubs close by. Two tube stops to choose from and easy bus access. Hyde Park is about 4 blocks away.

Have never used these websites but have friends who swear by them:

Good luck with your search and have a wonderful stay in London.

We've had success with renting apartments from www.holiday-rentals.co.uk. We rented an apartment off the website in Miltenberg, Germany last year and had such a great experience with it we are using them again to rent a house north of London for our trip next month. They have everything from large manor houses with multiple bedrooms to small one bedroom apartments/studios in all price ranges. I even looked at quite a few within London itself before settling on the house we will stay at. All the major grocery store chains in the UK have websites that will tell you the closest location to where you will be. Let me know if you have any questions about it, I'll be happy to help.

english-manner.com has some nice 2 bedroom apartments. We stayed in the Queens Gate apartment in South Kensington which is a 2 bed 2 bath and very spacious.
