Hi All, We are two people traveling to London. For the 2 for one deal, does it mean only one person need to buy the 7 days Travel card and the other person can just buy the 7 day pass oyster card? thanks,
Jenny
No - you must both have a valid rail travel card/ticket. The discount is subsidised by the railway companies. http://www.daysoutguide.co.uk/attraction-types/2for1london.aspx The FAQs from the site http://www.daysoutguide.co.uk/faq.aspx#2
Jenny, Do you mean to use the 2 for 1 deals with the travel card? If so, in that case, you can buy one paper travel card, and the other travel card can go onto an oyster card.
Terms explicitly state the following: 'Whilst you will only have one London Attractions voucher between 2 people, both people need to hold valid train tickets for the day of their visit.'
Tami, if they do that they won't get the discount.
For a short time there are 2 for 1 offers with Oyster. Offers end September 9. http://www.visitlondon.com/offers/tag/oyster-2-for-1?utm_source=TFLwebsite&utm_medium=display-media&utm_campaign=lsd-uk-107
Maybe it was the Oyster offer I was thinking of... I was researching the same thing recently, as I plan to take my daughter with me to London next year.
