London's Best Kept Secret - Christina O Yacht

The Christina O - yacht and love of Aristotle Onasis is docked near Canary Whart. Admission is 13 euros ($20.42), with a held held audio guide to lead you through the world's most luxurious private yacht. And.....it is not well known, even by the locasl, and certainly not the tourists. The best spent euros of my trip there!!! See how 'the other half' lived....check the web site for specifics.

Good lead, but where did you get that price? London works, like the rest of the United Kingdom, on Pounds Sterling. I looked around for the website but found that the yacht is here only temporarily and that tickets were being handled by TicketMaster. They are charging £15 plus fees. £15 is about €18 or $23.75.

I'm glad you enjoyed it but I can't think of a reason I would want to pay any money to see a rich man's yacht.

Gosh Monte, We pay money all the time to see a rich man's (or woman's) possessions in castles, museums, galleries or cathedrals. Why not check out a yacht? I wish we had seen it and thanks for the info, HJ. I quite enjoyed the tour of the Britannia in Edinburgh. It didn't bother ME in the least that the Queen is one of the richest (and hardest working) woman in the world!

Purchase the tickets at the door, not on ticket master, 13 POUNDS (not euros as I stated earlier)..and it is well woth the cost, believe me, even if it is a rich man's thing...

What fun,HJ! Had the opportunity to Kayak and swim around the Christina a few years back when she was docked in Bodrum, Turkey. A beautiful ship-and just a bit of a look into a different life. To each his own, but we had a ball just looking at the technology on board. Thx for the heads up!
