London 2 for 1 attractions

Has anyone used the 7 Day Paper Travel Cards for the 2 for 1 discount. How does it work? Supposiedly you have to buy the paper travel card from a Rail Station with the "double arrow" National Rail logo on it and not at a tube station.
Appreciate the help.

Go to daysoutguide.co.uk

The website will give you all the details.

You need to buy your travelcard from a rail station, not the underground. I printed my vouchers for my trip in May several months ago.

Mary, I am surprised that no one is responding to this post. It's been brought up a lot. If you have any questions, please PM me and I will help you. I have research this in great length over the last several months and I think I figured it out. Also, tripadvisor.com has a lot of helpful info.

I think you may think its more complicated than it really is. This promotion is done by the UK railway companies and is aimed at getting the British to use public transport into London rather than taking their car into the city from outside London.
TFL who run the London Underground, Buses and all the ticketing points like newsagents in London don't support this promotion. When you purchase a 7 day Travelcard at these you get an Oyster Card, not a Travelcard.

To get the 2 for 1 offers you therefore need to get your Travelcard from a mainline railway ticket office only, (not a London Underground railway ticket office). In London these are broadly Victoria, Paddington, Waterloo, St Pancras, Kings Cross and Liverpool Street. You can't get them at Heathrow.

From the railway ticket offices your 7 day Travelcard will come as a card not on an Oyster card.
All 1 and 3 Day Travelcards come on card from all sellers, but only the Travelcards purchased from railway ticket offices come with the railway logo you need that signifies purchase from the railways.

To use the vouchers you print the 2 for 1 vouchers from the web site and hand this plus your Travelcard at the ticket office of the attraction, theatre etc where you want to use it. Simple as that.
