Lodging in Dingle

My husband and I are taking our kids to Europe this summer for 5 weeks. Our last few nights will be spent in the Dingle Peninsula. With traveling for such a long time and with the dollar being so weak against the euro, we understandably cannot spend a lot on lodging. We're having a very difficult time finding a place to stay in Dingle for 100 euro or less. Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi Melissa - We stayed at the Tower View B & B in Dingle 2 years ago, and loved our stay. Their website is www.towerviewdingle.com, and they have a great deal on a family room, which is 2 big rooms with an adjoining bathroom. Plus, they have farm animals, dogs, etc. which makes it extra fun for kids. The only downside is that it's about a 15 minute walk from town along the harbor...still, check it out!

Melissa: my wife and me spent 2 nights at the "Alpine Guest House", a R.S. recommended B&B at edge of Dingle.
Great location, a short walk to Dingletown with free parking and a good jumping-off location to the start of the Dingle driving tour.
Very clean B&B with good breakfast and pleasant proprietor (Paul). He offers a 10% discount with RS book.
DB ensuite rate was 72 euro (including 10% disc)per night (1st week in May timeframe).

We spent 3 nights in Dingle last month at the Lighthouse B & B. Along with our accommodation in Ballycastle, the best B & B we stayed in in Ireland. Wonderful hosts, fantastic location.
Rates are between 35 and 43 Euros per person with a 50% reduction for children. Check out their website
