We are planning a trip to copenhagen and we have been told about the web site www.airbnb.com to find housing. Has anyone used this service and was the experience good? Thanks!
No, I have not used that service. I always use booking.com, and I have stayed in downtown Copenhagen, a few blocks walking distance from the central train station, also a few blocks from Tivoli. A very central location, lots of restaurants, very much the middle of a big city, rather dirty but very busy, lots of people, insane amount of bicycles!! ;-) 30% of Copenhagen uses a bicycle, the highest amount on the planet in any one city!!
I used tripadvisor.com to find lodging. I like their feature to map the hotels you're looking at. I also found the downtown area around the train station pretty dirty. We opted for hotels near Kongens Nytorv (north end of the Stroget). IMO a much nicer area.
Thank you for the replies. They are very helpful.
