Lodging in Cashel

Has anyone stayed at the Cashel Lodge? I'm looking for some place reasonably priced for us & our 2 young adult daughters for 1 night in December. Some of the B & B's in Cashel are not open then but this place looks good.(www.cashel-lodge.com)

Or, any places that I should look into? (or avoid?) We are just looking for clean & comfy, doesn't have to be fancy and we will have a car.

thanks

We stayed at Rahard Lodge, a sheep farm just outside of town. It was very nice, but it may be one of those that is not open during the winter.

We stayed at Watties B&B (http://www.wattiesbandb.ie/)
The website says it is open until December 8. Not sure if that works for you, but you can always email Maria and ask. Tourism is down all over, so she may be willing to extend her closing.

Unfortunately, Joy's Rockside House (very nice!) seems to close October 31, but again, you can always write and ask. http://www.joyrockside.com/

I don't know anything about Cashel Lodge, but the website sure looks interesting. I think it is reviewed on TripAdvisor.com as O'Briens Holiday Lodge, but I'm not 100% sure...

We stayed at the Cashel Lodge in June. It was my favorite place in Ireland - walking distance to the Rosk and Hoare Abbey. Fantastic views, immaculate, and my teenage son liked the free Internet.

thanks everyone. We will be there around December 20 and I think I'll go with Cashel lodge. We are trying to keep costs down, traveling with 20 & 23 year old daughters makes it really hard to find lodging in one room. At Cashel lodge they can sleep in the (cheaper) dormitory) and we can have a room. Or, maybe we'll all do the dormitory!
