I will be stopping for the night in Cashel, vis bus, on the way to Dublin. Any suggestions on lodging?
Thanks,
We stayed at Rahard Lodge, which is just outside of town. It's a sheep farm. When we were there (April) they had new lambs that they let the kids hold. When it was time to feed the sheep, the worker would whistle and there would be a little sheep stampede to be the first at the food.
We stayed at Joy's Rockside B&B right next to the Rock of Cashel in early June and thought is was wonderful. Joan could not have been nicer or more helpful. The best part was our room had a view of the Rock of Cashel from our window and at night, all lit up, it is quite beautiful.
I agree with Joy's Rockside! It was great and so wonderful to see the Rock of Cashel lit up at night against a dark sky....and from our bedroom window!
I was there in 2006 and would stay there again any time. Joan and her husband were so great.
Have a great trip!
check out this You Tube of the Rock of Cashel! Cool!
