The Lamb on Lambs Conduit Street is a Victorian pub which still has the glass screens at the bar.

Museum Tavern, 49 Great Russell St., Bloomsbury. Right across the street from the British Museum. Great pub food also. If you walk up north from Bloomsbury as far as Euston station, the two Classical lodges on either side of the bus entrance from Euston Rd (the only remnants of the much-missed 19th century Euston station, railfans) have recently been turned into pubs specialising in traditional drinks. On the left, the Euston Tap, for beer, and on the right, the Cider Tap, probably now the single best place in London for (alcoholic) cider.

Oh. My. God. Seriously, do not go into the Cider Tap and ask for Bulmers. It's like going into a US microbrew pub and asking if they have any Miller Lite.
