Last Nights near Dublin Airport

We have two nights at the end of our trip to see Dublin and fly out of Dublin earrrrrly in the morning. Should we stay those nights in Howth or Trim?

I love Trim-if you stay there tour the Castle ruins. We stayed at Cranmoor-one of Rick's picks

Navan would be good, too. It is handy to both Dublin and Newgrange. Killyon Guesthouse is a B&B on the Boyne River which I highly recommend.

Thanks for the replies. Howth just looks so sleepy and beautiful and it's only 15-20 from both the airport and Dublin city. I'm still not decided, but I love this bulletin board.

We just loved Howth. Quintessential Ireland. Heaven on earth for seafood lovers.

Skerries is another lovely coastal town close to the airport.

My family loved Trim. Tour the castle (where they filmed Braveheart)if possible, and you can also enjoy a walk through the ruins of the old abby nearby. Also very close to Newgrange.

We just got back yesterday. Stayed the last two nights at Albany House in Dublin. Very good value and very close to everything you want to do in Dublin. It is about 7 miles to the airport. We took a taxi and cost about 25 Euro's. Trim is a great town, 30 miles from the airport, will take about an hours drive because some of the roads are slow going. We started our trip in Trim, the castle was great. There is also a fantastic Radison at the airport with free shuttle service.

With such limited time to see Dublin, you will probably be better off staying in the city to maximize sight-seeing time. Getting to the airport shouldn't be a concern, especially earrrrrly in the morning.
