YES! Since we on this website do not know your tastes, interests, energy level, etc., I HIGHLY recommend this website: visitdublin.com

It is a wonderful, easy to use website and you can browse for whatever interests you - shows, shopping, festivals, etc.

On a personal note - I recommend the Dublin Zoo - it's perfect for all ages AND they have a new baby giraffe and some toddler-size rhinos that are adorable to watch romp and play!

Have fun!

Kilmainham Gaol is something I always recommend that visitors to Dublin see. You'll learn a lot about the history of the Irish struggle for freedom.

The hop-on, hop-off bus gives you a good overview of the city. You can ride it all the way around once, then stop at whatever interests you.

The Temple Bar area, Grafton St, Trinity College.... there is lots to see and do in Dublin.

I can't recommend the 1916 walking tour enough. I loved it, it was really a highlight of the trip. There's info in Rick's book.

Trinity Library is fantastic, especially if you like old manuscripts.

Just now noticed that it's 2/6 and you've already left, but just in case you check for more posts when you get there...

Here's the website to the tour Maureen mentioned (the walking tour is fantastic):
http://www.1916rising.com/

If you like the history of the 1916 Rising, then also see Kilmainham Gaol (Jail), as mentioned above...

Also a historical walking tour:

For some evening fun, try the musical pub crawl, or the literary pub crawl. We booked ours at the Dublin tourist office right in the airport (just in case they got booked up). There is also an office really close to Trinity College.

Something to skip, in my opinion, is the Guinness Storehouse/Brewery "tour" (self-guided) which takes place in the old Storehouse that has been remodeled and glitzed-up, with loud music and flashing lights. The only good part of it is ending up at the bar at the top for a free pint and a 360 view of the city.

The view from the bar at Guiness Storehouse makes the trip worth it if you go late in the day as twilight approaches. Magical view and a good pint. Not half bad!!!
