There are five in our party and we have tentatively planned to take a taxi from the airport to the Harding Hotel. Are there taxis/vans large enough to hold five average size people and 5 pieces of luggage? Or shold we take the Airlink Express? Thanks.
Audrey, you will find both car-type taxis and van/minivan-type taxis at the airport. I don't know if the fare differs between types. Airlink is certainly a choice, depending upon how far you need to shlep your bags from the nearest bus stop to your hotel. Also consider if it's raining; how far do you really want to walk in the rain dragging luggage.
Will, thanks for info regarding van/mini van taxis. Glad to have that option.
Hi Audrey
Last year I used both. As I was by myself, I took the Airlink bus - plenty of room for luggage and easy to find. For the Harding House, you get off at the Wood Quay stop and it is just a couple blocks from there. When I left, there were six of us going out on the same flight so we got a taxi that held all of us and our luggage easily. It was only about 5 € a piece plus a small tip. I believe you said you were going on the RS tour. You will have an amazing time.
There is an attendant at the taxi stand who matches groups with the size vehicle needed to transport them. The line moves very efficiently.
