Kosher Ireland

Any suggestions on how to handle travel to Dublin and the Donegal, Galway regions. Purchasing meals prepared under the authorization of the Rabbinical Committee is super costly. I'll be away 7-8 days and will need to spend Saturday in Dublin. Many thanks for any suggestions.

Maybe you already knew this, but there is a small, but well established Jewish community in Dublin.

Here is some info here

Michael, Outstanding!!!

The mob I hang around with in Israel calls me their "token christian". Retribution is coming; I'm writing that one down. Come to think of it, one gal's a muslim and she piles on too. Give us more ideas.

I think what Ed is saying is that he lives in a Florida retirement community with large Jewish population. Ed is one of the few "goyim" and he takes a bit off good-natured ribbing from his neighbors.

For the record I happen to be 1/2 Lerpercohen, my mother was Irish-Catholic and converted. Back in August I happened to eat at a Kosher Restaurant in Mexico City of all places, and last January I toured a restored Synagogue/Chinese Jewish heritage museum near the China-Russia border and attended Sabbath services at a Shule in Hong Kong. I have a friend who recently traveled to Buenos Aires and ate at an offical kosher Mcdonalds franchise, and before I die I will do the same!

Unfortunately I can't help out with your Dublin dilemma:(

Ed lives way on the other end of Florida and has spent a lot of time in Israel where he has many friends who call him ......

When it comes to kosher dining oversees, I'm somewhat of an expert and there are lots of options...depending upon how kosher you are and whose oversight you follow. In any event, when it comes to Ireland I was stuck and appreciate any suggestions from leprecohens or whatever.
