Kinsale - B&B and seafood restaurant recommendations

We will be in Kinsale on a Friday night in early May. We'd like to stay in Kinsale proper, and wondered about B&B recommendations. Some very nice ones say that they're only a 15 minute walk, but apparently that walk is all uphill on the way home! We've also heard it is a great town for seafood -- any recommendations? I know Rick Steeves recommends Fishy-Fishy Cafe & that is our tentative plan, depending on your feedback.
Thanks! ps The Cloisters is not available on that night.

The Old Presbytery is a lovely b&b in town. It's an easy walk to several good restaurants and pubs for music afterwards.

Desmond House was a very nice B&B. Michael, the owner, was very helpful with restaurant reservations and route suggestions for our continuing car trip. This place is next door to the Old Presbytery suggested in the previous post. If I remember right, the two were originally part of one house.

Thank you both. Am checking them both out now. Any restaurant suggestions? I'm reading mixed reviews about Fishy Fishy Cafe on tripadvisor.

Fishy Fishy was excellent the night my group was there.

We stayed in Kinsale for four days last June and loved the town. We rented a cottage from HomeAway instead of staying in a B&B. We highly recommend Fishy Fishy. We ate both dinner and lunch there and both meals were excellent. We also enjoyed Toddies Restaurant at the Bulman, Jim Edwards, and Man Friday. These were all some of the best meals we had in Ireland.

We were there a few years ago and stayed at The Olde Bakery B&B. It was a lot of fun and the owners were awesome.

Cathy, In Kinsale, there are two restaurants that I would recommend for great seafood. Fishy-Fishy Café is one of them. I was back there a few years back, and had the breaded & fried prawns served with a Scampi sauce, which was excellent! This place fills up quick with locals, who stay there most of the day. Therefore, for lunch get there when they open. If I recall, they do not take reservations. I am not sure for dinner, for back when I went, they only served lunch. Another great seafood restaurant is Jim Edwards. They serve an excellent seafood cold plate with prawns, crab, salmon, lobster & oysters that can't be missed! They also serve great steaks. Note: early reservations are must!
