Hello! Staying at The Kensington Hotel in London from November 3-11 and wondering about some good, smaller, reasonably priced restaurants nearby? We also would like one "splurge" (it's my 50th) and looking for ambiance (romantic, smaller). Also - we would like to buy the 7 day travel card - should we order that here or just use the Piccadilly line from LHR and get it at the station? Thanks!

They were very helpful at the tube station at Heathrow. If you tell them how much you're planning to use the tube or busses, they calculate what's a better deal for you. I don't think there's any need to buy them ahead of time. If you're interested in the travelcards for 2 for 1 entrance to certain sights. you have to buy them at a train station like Victoria.
