Just Returned, Ireland - B & B report, part 3

Kenmare - Hawthorn House
The rooms and bathrooms are a good size. The shower pipes were noisy when you showered and the bathrooms were not as clean as others. You can walk to everything from here. Downfall is it is right on street in town and noisy at night. We had to shut our windows because of the talking outside on the street. Other than when we checked in about 3pm for 1 night stay I never saw Mary the owner again. It was probably the place that was the least on getting info and help from owner.

Kinsale - The Olde Bakery B & B

Chrissy and Tom were nice but I would not stay here again. My room was on ground floor, it was musty and damp. The shower was so small I kept hitting the sides when I lifted my arms. The sitting room was right next to my room and one of the days Chrissy's kids and grandkids came to visit her. They were all in the sitting room and it was very noisy. They had the TV very loud and when we went to bed at 11pm because of early start next day they were still going strong. They have 2 very cute dogs that lay on the furniture and left hair on it. I am allergic to dogs so it make my allergies go crazy. You eat in their kitchen at their table, there is not a separate place where the guests dine. It was REALLY noisy at night.

Just a FYI - most of these did not provide wash cloths so plan ahead. All provided clean towels daily. Every place had stairs so don't pack more than you can carry.
