We are going to be in Scotland, based in Glasgow...and doing some sightseeing into the highlands. My son, who lives there currently, picked up a flier for a wildlife expedition while visiting Fort William. It sounds interesting, but wondered if you have had any experience with this tour as I have found nothing in your book or at the website about it. It is on the Isle of Mull with David Woodhouse.
Sue, Rick doesn't post on the Helpline, only we volunteers do. I've been to Mull, and wild life tours are certainly one of the things to enjoy on Mull. Search PBS as there was a great show on the eagles of Mull. I googled his name and he pops up quite quickly. If you don't hear any specifics here soon, go to the tripadvisor forum for the Hebrides and ask again. Pam
I took this tour about 10 years ago on a day of when I was in the north-west of Scotland for a while. It was in August and I found it an excellent and interesting tour, David being very knowledgeable and interesting. Only small numbers, as they go around in a single minibus, collecting you from the ferry. No guarantees as to what you'll see, of course, wildlife being wild, but we did find sea otters, golden eagles and hen harriers, along with lots of tales of wildlife.
