Checked Google and a Google map. Long Eaton is a town roughly half way in between Nottingham and Derby (town) in Derbyshire (County) just off the M-1 (main motorway going North South) and therefor South East of the Bakewell/Matlock scenic area of Derbyshire

Continued: Again per google: "Long Eaton railway Station is about eight miles from Derby".
