Could anyone tell me where there is a reasonable castle to stay in that looks like a midievil times castle. We are traveling from Dublin south around to Cork.

Not sure what your definition of "reasonable," might be.

Castle "hotels" are rarely ever reasonable. They are a splurge. As an example, even the most basic standard room at Ashforth Castle during high season runs about 375 Euro for 2 adults sharing. The rates continue to climb as you get into Deluxe Rooms, Junior Suites, Family Rooms, etc. Even some of their special packages are fairly pricey - about 800 Euro for 2 nights B&B plus 1 dinner for a basic standard room.
