Ireland South Circle Info on tipping or other helpful hints?

We are heading to Dublin on a coach tour staying 7 nights. All breakfasts and all but one dinner are included (4 dinners are table d'hote). What is the customary tip on those laid on meals, if any? Also for our self paid lunches, is there a % tip that is usually left to server? . The driver? The tour leader? Can anyone tell me what is customary in Ireland. Any other travel tips you can give us would be greatly appreciated. P J

The tour people will tell you what is customary for the driver and the tour leader. It is not customary to tip in Ireland otherwise. We actually had someone follow us out of a pub to return the change that we "forgot" on the table.

Go on a Rick Steves tour and you'll pay no tips.

My husband, who is from Ireland, doesn't believe in tipping anyone in Ireland. I usually go with how I feel, if we have exceptionally good service, I will leave a few dollars with lunch or dinner. If not, I don't. I would probably do the same with tour guide & driver. I have never tipped at a pub for a drink.
