I want to travel (using public transportation) around the Ring of Kerry. Is it best to do this from Kenmare or from Kilarney? I will not have a car so will use a tour bus company-any suggestions? Thanks, Dorsey

When I have a question like yours, I always phone a local travel agent or tour company for help as soon as I arrive.

My understanding is that all the tours of the Ring leave from Killarney. You might also want to search for private tours by car, as you'll see much more of the Ring by car than by bus.

Bus tours around the Ring of Kerry are common. Don't know how common in September, but I know from experience (driving by car in the opposite direction) that they are alive and well in September. Use a travel agent or go online and you'll find a service to use.
