I can not figure out how to navigate the Irishrail website. It keeps giving me a popup that says i need to - i am trying to but it is not working for me. Any tips? Also, would you all recommend rail on my own for day trips or a tour from the TI center? Thanks!

Where do you want to go, cities, countryside, museums, etc. that would help a lot to have more information as to what you have in mind.

Some of places you want to go to have no rail service, such as Cliffs of Moher. If you are basing yourself in Dublin, Belfast is short train about hour and half by rail. You can get to some of the others by bus but would check into tours. via the TI
