Planning a 6-night driving tour of Ireland for September with my husband. We are celebrating our 20th anniversary and neither of us has ever seen Ireland. Flying into Shannon and out of Dublin. Looking at staying at manor houses: Cahernane House and Mount Juliet to be specific. Any comments about locale and access to sights? Also, had wondered if the Ritz-Carlton Powerscourt is worth it. I've found great rates for the other two and have been reticent about Powerscourt. Any and all feedback is welcome! My husband is well traveled, having lived in Europe for 4 years (earlier in life). This will be my first trip. We are also going to be in the UK (based in London and Inverness). Total trip is about 2.5 weeks. We booked through AIRBNB for London and Inverness. Ireland was going to be a bit more posh. Thanks! Mary
