My wife and two grandaughter's (ages 21 and 18) will be attending a wedding in Cork in June '10. We would like to see as much as possible of Ireland. We plan on being there for 14 days (We also have family in County Mayo) I would appreciate suggestion on a 2 week itenaray. We can fly into Shannon or Dublin. Thank you in advance. Mike Morley

Mike,

We can tell you what we like to do, but only you know what you (or your family) would like. Perhaps you could give let us know what types of activities you're interested in?

Also, will you be traveling before or after the wedding? Most travelers suggest flying open jaw into either Shannon or Dublin and leaving from the other.

There are many great places in and around County Cork. Kinsale is a beautiful town with lots of history and great restaurants. Killarney National Park also has magnificent scenery. The Ring of Kerry and Dingle are not day trips, but they are nearby for travelling immediately before or after the wedding.

County Mayo, as you may know, is in the north, quite a ways from Cork. You could travel between the two if you did it over a couple of days.
