Ireland In April

My husband and I are planning a trip the end of april for nine nights. we are landing in Shannon and renting a car and flying out of dublin. I needed a great driving itineary where we see not only the important things but also we both love out of the way countryside drives to see the real ireland. also, if anyone can suggest places to stay. thank you.

I took Rick's advice for 7 days in Ireland, flew into Shannon and left via Dublin. Galway was my favorite. We stayed in B & B's all the way which was great, you get a huge breakfast, we shopped at the local grocery for snacks and stuff, and then just had to worry about dinner which was easy with all the pub food around.

Please read down through the previous posts. There have been many recent posts concerning travel intineraries for Ireland, and there are a lot of great suggestions there.

You might start by checking out some guidebooks to get an idea of things you would like to see. Once you nail it down a bit better, we will be more able to help.

Follow Nancy's advice and please take special notes about the driving comments, since you will be touring by car. As for recommending places to stay, that will be determined by where you want to go.
