We land in Shannon early on July 20th, what can we see on the way to Dingle? Also, I'm spending five days in Dingle. I planned the Blasket Islands, Ring of Kerry, Killarney Nat'l Park etc. and then four days at the Doolin Lodge and I thought we can do the Burren, Aran Islands, Cliffs of Moher, Connmera, and Galway. We love to hike and I'm wondering if I should have broken it up and stayed in Galway?? In Dingle we are staying at the Duinin House has anyone been there? Thanks so much for the help!! Sara
If you plan to spend time in Galway and Connemara, I would stay a night in Galway or Clifden. It's a long drive from Doolin to Connemara. Another option would be to save Connemara for another trip and spend a night on Inishmore in the Aran Islands. It will give you more time to spend in a special place.
You might want to stay in Clifden and hike the "Diamond" steep but beautiful views. Take the boat to see Aran Island and Cliffs of Moher, when you are in Dingle/Doolin area it really is the best view.
Thanks for your help! We are spending the night in Clifden and we will check out the Diamond hike.
Duinin is an excellent choice. We have stayed there twice. Pat and Ann are great hosts and they serve the best breakfasts.
