Ireland Hotel Advice...

I'm going to Ireland in the fall for a week. I've booked my b&b in Galway but I'd like some advice on a hotel in Dublin. I've checked tripadvisor.com and read the reviews but you guys here are the guru's of travel so I want to cover all my bases. :o) I'm traveling with my friend John and he wants to use his points to get us a free hotel room in Dublin.

Our options are:
Holiday Inn: City Center,
Crown Plaza Dublin-Northwood,
Holiday Inn Express-Dublin Airport,
Crown Plaza Dublin-Blanchardstown.

I would personally rather stay somewhere closer to the city, but it's free so I'm not going to turn it down. Do you guys have any advice on any of those hotels?

Holiday Inn City Centre is just that...it's in the center of Dublin. You'd probably want to pick that over the other choices. You definitely don't want to stay out near the airport, unless for some reason you really want to spend all your time commuting back and forth, or you are just staying for 1 night and flying out early the next morning.

If you want to read reviews of the hotel, check TripAdvisor.com.
