Just thought I would pass this info. along. If you will be 66 yrs. of age or older by the time of your visit to Ireland in 2010,you can phone Tourism Ireland at 1 800 Shamrock (7426 7625)and tell the Rep. you are eligible for the "Golden Trekker" Program. The Rep.asks minimal info ,name,d.o.b. e-mail address, passport # and where your rail journey will commence in Ireland. You can check it out first at www.discoverireland.com,click the "Plan Your Visit" tab and look for the "Golden Trekker" info. You can print out an Irish Rail route map to help with the station of origin before you call. Hope this is of help to someone.
