My 76 Father and I are planning to take the train from Dublin to get Farranfore. Picking up a car to drive to a house in Abbeyfeale near Adare. If the driving makes me a nervous wreck, can we get day tours for the Ring of Kerry and other sights from Adare? All suggestions are welcome to make journey memorable!

If you'll be near Adare, you'll be closer to the Dingle Peninsula than the Ring of Kerry, and if you can only see one the DP would be my choice. As for tours, the DP and Ring of Kerry are full of tour busses so I'm sure you can arrange a start point somewhere in your vicinity.
If you have the chance, the dinner at the Mustard Seed is great. Pricey, but a nice treat.
Adare Manor is worth a visit.
