Ireland birding

We will be in Ireland in early September. Where are the best sites for birding then? Would we be able to see puffins anywhere?

Do not miss the cliffs of Moher - an unbelievable number (literally thousands) of seabirds and shorebirds in great variety - razorbills, gannet, guillimot, peregrine falcon, ravens, and puffins. I saw puffins there in early May - but I think that's the peak time for them there because they come on shore to nest. You would probably need to work a little harder in September since (I think) that's getting into the send of their season. A park ranger was eager to point out the different birds and make sure we saw the puffins. I'm sure thre are other great places, my mom's the real birder not me so I just kept track enough to make her jealous,
