Is the following itinerary realistic
for first time travelers which include an 80 year old. Driving. Day 1 Shannon airport to Ennis. Day 2 Ennis to Galway taking in Cliffs of Moher, Burren, Doolin. Day 3 Galway to Aran Islands. Day 4 Galway to Connemara. Day 5 Galway to Dingle. Day 6,7,8 in Dingle area returning to Shannon airport on day 8 or 9.

lindal, I made this trip with my parents in 2007 when they were 78 and 82 and we covered these areas. Yes, they are very doable. When you get to the Aran Islands you are met by horse drawn trap or van. Either is confortable, but we really enjoyed the trap as the pace was slow and we got to talk to the driver. This area of Ireland is nice and relaxed everything goes and slow and easy pace. Your itinerary sounds very good. Depending on what time your flight gets in you could get in Bunratty Castle its between Shannon airport and Ennis
