we will be spending 1st nite in dublin, 2nd nite in enniscourthy, 3rd nite in dingle, then heading back toward dublin. what interesting town should I choose for our 4 nite before flying out of dublin on the following day. perhaps another night in dingle or back dublin for the last nite?

I wouldn't spend the night in Dingle if you're flying out of Dublin the next day. Dingle to Dublin airport is a minimum 4-hour drive.

You could stay in Navan or Trim, both about 30 minutes or so from the Dublin airport. You have to make sure that you can easily be at the airport three hours or so before your flight out, since in addition to security, you will be going through US immigration in Dublin before you leave.

There is a lovely seaside town, about 20 miles North of Dublin...Skerries. Very easy drive to airport from there :) http://www.tasteofskerries.com/
