Intinerary Help

Any suggestions for intinerary starting at Belfast on April 8th in am and leaving Dublin airport April 15th in am? We have rented a car for the week. Also, my traveling companion is slightly handicap. (walks with a can mostly, uses wheelchair for long distances) Can anyone give suggestions on what to do and also hopefully places to stay(for less than 80 usd/day)? Thanks for the help!

Steph,

In order to give suggestions for what to do it would be helpful to know what interests you have. Keep in mind that a lot of the countryside sights are just that...in the countryside, which may be a little difficult for people with disabilities. The bigger cities and towns of course will be easier to get around in. If you are familiar with this sight, there are all kinds of suggestions here. You can get lots of ideas from RS books as well as other travel books.

Not to bust a bubble, but it will be quite difficult to find a room for $80. 80 pounds (N.Ireland) and 80 Euros (Republic) will be more likely. Remember you will need both currencies.

Most B&Bs and inns charge between 30-40 euro/night per person with 35 euro being the most common.

Plenty of newer guesthouses on the roads and the towns will have inns. Be prepared for a lot of steep stairs if you are staying in older inns or even a newer guesthouse with bedrooms above the ground floor.

http://www.discoverireland.com/us/accommodation/ is a really good resource and it should tell you if they have handicapped accessible rooms.
